Every job has a $2,200 minimum, which matters on a small floor. Pool decks are priced on their own. The number is for our own polyurea base and polyaspartic topcoat system, installed in Northern Illinois, so it is what we charge and not a national average. 02Where the money goes
Polyaspartic floor coating cost per square foot, and what is in it
If you are asking how much is polyaspartic floor coating for your own floor, it helps to know what the per-square-foot price pays for. On a typical job it covers all of this:
- 1The free assessment, where we look at the concrete and measure the floor.
- 2Diamond grinding and prep, so the base has open concrete to grip, then a full vacuum.
- 3The polyurea base coat.
- 4A full flake broadcast in the color blend you pick.
- 5The clear polyaspartic topcoat.

Where a quote lands inside the range comes down mostly to the condition of the concrete. New, sound concrete lands near $6. Older concrete with cracks, spalls or pitting lands higher, because the repairs are part of the prep. Size sets the total, not the rate: a bigger floor costs more because there is more of it, not more per square foot. The system matters because the quote is written for what actually goes on your floor.

03Condition, removal and pool decks
What moves the number
The condition of the concrete. Cracks, spalls and pits get filled before anything goes down, so the new floor starts on a sound surface. That repair work is what moves a floor from the $6 end of the range toward the $10 end. Almost every job stays inside the range, repair included, and we show you what needs it before we quote.
Removal. If an old coating or floor covering is on the slab, it comes off first and the concrete is ground fresh, because the new base has to bond to concrete and not to a layer that may already be letting go. It is the same grinding and removal work we do on commercial floors. Removal adds grinding time and moves a floor up the range the same way repair does, and we check for it before we quote.
Pool decks. A pool deck takes sun all day and water all season, and its shape is rarely a simple rectangle, so we price it on its own after we have seen it. A pool deck can land above $10 per square foot.

Polyaspartic garage floor cost
For a garage, the math is short. Measure the length and the width in feet and multiply them to get square feet. Multiply that by $6 and by $10, and the two answers are your ballpark. A small floor lands at our $2,200 minimum.
Worked example, arithmetic only
A 20 by 22 foot two-car garage is 440 square feet. 440 times $6 is $2,640, and 440 times $10 is $4,400. So it lands between $2,640 and $4,400, and where it falls inside that depends on the condition of the concrete.

What turns the ballpark into a real price is what we find on the slab: its condition, any cracks, a step up into the house, and whether an old coating has to come off first.

05One system, one price
Polyurea floor coating cost is the same number
People search for polyurea floor coating cost and polyaspartic floor coating cost as if they were two products with two prices. On our floors they are two layers of one system. The polyurea is the base coat that grips the concrete and flexes with it. The polyaspartic is the clear topcoat that takes the wear and the sun. You do not choose between them and you do not pay for them separately.

06The longer view
What you pay once, and what you pay again
Epoxy often costs less on the day it goes down. What decides the real cost is how many times you pay for the floor. When a floor yellows inside the door, peels at the edges or picks up under hot tires, it gets recoated, and each recoat is another bill and more days with the garage out of use.

With proper maintenance, the floor can last a lifetime. Residential floors under a roof, garages included, carry a lifetime warranty, backed by The Integrity Seal. Patios, pool decks, porches, walkways, garage aprons and commercial floors carry a 3-year warranty with the same coverage. Either way, the warranty covers peeling, chipping, blistering, delamination from a properly prepared slab and fading from UV exposure, and it transfers to the next owner of the home. It does not cover cracks in the slab.
That is why we talk about cost over the life of the floor and not only the day it goes down. Our system usually costs more upfront, installs in one day and is far less likely to need recoating.
